We have less than 2 weeks left in the New York legislative session, and James Sanders has failed us. The last push for this session is to flood Senate Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins with emails. She is the only one able to bring it for a got now.
Call REPEATEDLY. The more pressure she feels, the harder it becomes for them to ignore us.
We need everyone to kick it up a notch by CALLING and emailing our legislators REPEATEDLY. The more pressure they feel, the harder it becomes for them to ignore us.
You only need to contact four legislators, and you can call them as many times and as often as you can.
Please remember to stay respectful and calm — we catch more flies with honey than vinegar — and stick to the scripts provided for each call below.

(NY State — Bill S7664B)
Hello, my name is ________, and I’m calling as a constituent to urge action on Bill S7664B.

As we all know, the state budget consumed most of this legislative session, and because of that, the data disaggregation bill for the Black/African American demographic is still sitting in the Finance Committee.
This same Legislature has already analyzed and approved disaggregation twice — once for the AAPI community and once for the MENA community.
All the research, all the precedent, all the justification already exists.
That puts us in the perfect position to discharge S7664B from the Finance Committee and move it into the Rules Committee so it can be voted on this session.
I’m calling to respectfully ask Senator Stewart‑Cousins to move Bill S7664B forward —
for her constituents and for the Black/African American population statewide.
Thank you for your time
