Tell New York lawmakers: Support Bill A5603 for CORRECTIVE reparations legislation. Assembly Bill A7691 is unconstitutional — making THIS task force a waste of time, state funding, & a legally flawed endeavor.

๐Ÿง What Is Disaggregation?

Disaggregation means breaking down broad racial categories like “Black” into more specific groups—such as Freedmen/Foundational Black American, Jamaican, Nigerian, Haitian, etc. This gives us accurate data on the unique conditions each group faces.

๐Ÿ“Š Why It Matters:

โœ”๏ธ Policy with Precision:
Data disaggregation allows lawmakers to target resources to communities that need them most—like housing, education, and healthcare.

โœ”๏ธ Supports Reparations:
You can’t repair what you don’t measure. Disaggregated data is a necessary foundation for lineage-based reparations policies.

โœ”๏ธ It’s Already Happened—for Others:
New York State has already passed disaggregation laws for Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern & North African (MENA) communities.
 Black communities deserve the same.

Tell New York lawmakers: Support Bill A6341A/ S7664—our future depends on it.
